Lucille Briscoe Coulter Celebrates 100 Years

Lucille Briscoe Coulter 100 Years Old.

Family and friends helped Lucille celebrate a 100th birthday at Moody Care Center recently where she resides. She was born September 6, 1902. Present, were her sisters, Wilma Keen, of DeLeon, Loraine Brazeal, and Johnnye Van Hook both of Bryan. Her nieces and nephews who attended were, Peggy Jane Gibson, of Houston, Kay Phillips of Early, Karl Van Hook of Bellville, Kyle Van Hook of Brenham, Dana Van Hook of The Woodlands and Wanda Jean Duty of Eddy. Great nieces and nephews attended, were Darla Breazeale, of Austin, Jennifer Breazeale, of Houston, Debbie Dees, of Houston, Josh Van Hook of Austin and Olivia Van Hook of Brenham. Ralph and Arlene Briscoe of Elm Mott and Charles and Glenna Briscoe of Grand Prairie were cousins of Lucille who attended. John and Cora Lee Mathis Briscoe came by wagon along with their parents James and Susan Amanda Briscoe to Perry from Georgia in 1903. When the Briscoes heard Santa Fe railroad was coming to a town called Moody, they moved to the new city. Later they moved to Spring Valley area and then to a farm in Liberty Hill community where the remaining children have many fond memories.
