Above photo was the 1943 graduating
class of Moody High School on their senior trip.
Previous classes had been on trips to Monterrey, Old Mexico, Carlsbad Cavern
in New Mexico and New Orleans, Louisiana. World War II created a shortage of
everything from shoes and sugar to tires and gas, so class of 1943 were
given a trip to Waco where they were guests of Blackland Air Force Base.
There they were given a guided tour and lunch in the mess hall.
