Scout Pack 425,  Kick off school year with Meet the Teachers Event
This year Boy Scout Pack 425 decided to help the families and students of Moody, Texas by providing school supplies.  This money came out of the funds the Scouts raised by selling pop corn last year and our "Christmas in July Sale".   The scouts kicked off the new school year by welcoming the families and children as they came into the school for the annual Meet the Teacher event.  The scouts were in uniform and were excellent hosts directing lost parents and children to the respective class rooms.
The scouts presented the school supplies to Robbie Parham, the school principal.
While there, the scouts also handed out Cub Scout flyers to kick off our annual membership drive.
The scouts will have a booth at the Moody Cotton festival to recruit new members and to sell Pop-Corn, Christmas items, and other things such as boot jacks, drink holders, etc.
The scouts have a "family Camp-out" scheduled for Labor Day.  This will be for the scouts, their families, and for the new scouts that have recently joined.  This camp-out will be held at the Chavez Ranch just west of Moody.
Cub Master is Diana Hall; Weblo Den Leader is Randy Gates, Bears Den Leader, Marvin Yates; Den Leaders for Tigers and Wolves, Diana Hall; Scout Master, Jared Colahan. Coordinator for both troops is Kurt Hall. For more information on scouting call 853-2968 or 853-9766
