Lion's Club

The Moody Lion's club is an accurate
barometer of the current state of Lionism in the world today. We have sixteen members with
the majority of those being more mature adults (notice the political correctness of this
statement). We must persuade as many of the Moody area residents to become Lions and join
us in working toward improving the lives of as many people as we can. Our focus programs
at this time are eye care and diabetes. These programs are primarily designed to help the
children; but must and shall consider all who are in need.
We would like to invite all of the Moody area
resident to join us at Lucy's Cafe on the second and fourth Tuesday at 7:00 PM to
participate with us as "WE SERVE". Membership is $15.00 per month per person.

Z.S. Teague Moody Lodge A.M. & F.M. No 568
The Masonic Lodge of Moody supports several hospitals, nursing centers, and
children's hospitals in Texas. An annual chili supper is held on the
first Saturday in April.
Moody Lodge No. 568 was organized in 1882 with Capt. J.l. Fuller as the first
Worshipful Master. The first building burned in 1937 and was rebuilt. The
Masons sold the old historic building in downtown Moody, December 1997 to
Danny Williams a local contractor.
The Masons are now in a new modern building south of Moody. Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each
month.
Z. S. Teague Moody Lodge A.M.
& F.M. No 568 met on Saturday, July 6, 2002 for installation of new
officers. Bruce Wills, past District deputy of 61A installed the
officers. Bobby Donaldson was installed Worshipful Master. Weldon
Schmidt, Senior Warden; Glen Thurman, Junior Warden; Mike Rodriquez,
Senior Deacon; Dr. Joe Ford, Senior Stuart and Gene Adams, Tyler. Other
officers: Otis Elkin, secretary; Donald Allman, treasurer; Neville
Allison, Chaplain; James Burgess, Junior Deacon and Bobby Burgess,
Senior Stuart.
